A to Z Blogging Challenge

Did you notice the little A to Z blogging challenge badge in my sidebar? Yeah, I broke down and signed up. I wasn't going to do it because I am so busy with Easter at the beginning of the month. I had even already written my post for a "blogging vacation".

So why did I change my mind? Peer pressure. No, actually, peer envy. I realized so many of the blogs I was visiting had that little badge and I started feeling left out. Like, wow, they're all going to be visiting each other and bonding and I'll be sitting here with crickets.

Yep, that's what swayed me. What really sealed the deal was when I had the idea to do an A to Z of author marketing throughout the month. I've been feeling like I really need to share some more of that info lately, and this is the perfect opportunity.

For those of you who are signed up for blog critiques in April, can I move them to the Sunday before each scheduled day? I'll email you all and talk to you about it directly. That would help me out.

And those of you who haven't signed up - come on, what are YOU waiting for? (Do it, do it, do it, do it!)

Good for you! I am still on the fencepost about this.... I love the focus you are going to have.

I started writing posts yesterday, got A & B done. Hopefully C today. I'm actually really excited by it, my blog has been on the same formula for a while now and the change will be nice.

I was hesitant to make such a commitment, but then decided I would take the plunge...however, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to sign up. Their instructions are a bit confusing. Can someone give me a some guidance to join the party (sign up)?

This will indeed be a challenge... especially for a new blogger like myself!

I'm also on the fence about this . . . would LOVE to participate but it's such a busy time of year w/ family coming into town from MI for Easter & stuff. At any rate, can't wait to ready your posts:)

I've been feeling the same way about the sidelines, Laura! i just can't quite figure out how to do A to Z without disrupting my normal schedule. And I have people scheduled for things, as you do, so hmmm.... I'll have to think on it some more if you're going to do it too! :)

I was the same way! And I signed up for the same reason, w/ a bit of a freak out as to how I was going to find time to write all those posts. So I sat down today and sketched out a topic for each letter. They may not be long posts (life happens, after all) but I am looking fwd to seeing what everyone else - including you - comes up with!

I didn't enter the A-Z because I was too intimidated to write a post EVERY DAY ALL MONTH! I mean, what else would I get done? :-) I have been in peer envy of those that do have that cool little badge on their site though.

I hope it's useful to people. I think I'm really going to have fun. I hope you join!

Can I make a confession? I've already got a-g plus p and u. I'm also going to recycle a couple of old posts. I'm excited to see what you do!

I tried to sign up once and the linky was down. Try again is what I'd suggest. Good luck!

After this, normal blogging will be a breeze!

Laura Barnes said...

I'm sweating profusely but I'm glad I'm on board too. :)

I'm recycling a few of my posts because its such a busy time for me. Is that cheating? Well, then I'm a total rebel :) Besides, I think I had some important old posts that no one ever read because I was such a newbie blogger. Have you considered recycling?

Laura Barnes said...

That's really the only way to do it, IMHO. I plan on having a couple of pretty short posts. And if one day all I say is "T is for Time out" then that will have to do. LOL!

And that is why this might be an epic fail on my part - I totally failed Rachel Harrie's Platform Building Campaign. But, I'm going to make an honest effort. Hope you come by and visit during that month! And you'll probably have a lot more to show after the month is over. But, hey, it's fun!

Thanks for the welcome!

I didn't sign up, but then, I get tired out just reading everyone else's posts. XD I do post everyday in April though. NaPoWriMo is in less than a week!

I am so glad you signed up & I am looking forward to reading your post. Are you going to incorporate your original A through Z author marketing plan into your post? If so then you will have a very unique and interesting post for each day of April.

Laura Barnes said...

Yes, I expect to be tired myself. I'll be over there to see poetry!

Laura Barnes said...

I hope they're worth the anticipation. :) I'm not sure what you're asking about my original A to Z marketing plan being incorporated - I haven't done an A to Z plan yet, but am planning to do A to Z in author marketing for April. Is that what you were asking?
